Vaccine and Safe Travel

Vaccine and Safe Travel Consultation

The BEST travel is SAFE travel.

It's why we're here. When you travel outside of the United States, preventative medical care from a facility specialized in providing it can help you avoid serious health risks. Protecting yourself helps stop the spread of infectious diseases in both our community and the places you visit.

We are certified to provide yellow fever and all major traveler's vaccinations for adults and children.

Your Appointment

We recommend that you schedule a traveler's health appointment at least 4 to 6 weeks before your trip. Nebraska Medicine Vaccine & Safe Travel Clinic has two locations: at Village Pointe Medical Center off of 180th and Dodge streets and at Midtown-Clinic off of 40th and Dodge streets.

Print and fill out this form before your arrive for your appointment.

About Us

We provide travel medicine services based on the individual needs of our patients, as well as routine vaccinations. Being UNMC-affiliated provides us hands-on access to the latest treatments in travel medicine and infectious diseases so that we can better serve you.

Our staff is trained to prepare you for any diseases you might be exposed to while traveling abroad, and they have the knowledge and experience to advise travelers with complex medical conditions. They can also address any post travel-related illnesses. Our services help international travelers return safely to the U.S., and prevent infectious diseases from spreading into our community.

Medical Director Alison Freifeld, MD, has more than 25 years of experience with infectious diseases, and is board-certified in that specialty. She is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
